Biomass fuels as compared to coal have high volatiles; those have to be necessarily burnt in the freeboard. Therefore, it is essential that correct amount of air with proper mixing (Turbulence) is fed in the freeboard in boiler. As this boiler is mainly working on Rice husk, we are providing secondary and tertiary air above the firing zone; the backpressure of air at these points is substantially higher which produce good amount of turbulence in the free board. This will ensure the complete combustion of volatiles.
We are providing super heater in free board, which will have less maintenance
because of the high temperature of the steam thereby high metal temperature.
The boiler being offered has water-cooled furnace. The furnace is leak proof and
paneled for better aesthetics and to prevent heat loss. The furnace is tall and
long to provide sufficient residence time for complete combustion of fines and
volatiles. The evaporative tubes we have offered are vertical in configuration
for better circulation and widely spaced. The water wall tubes are of membrane
panel construction with non-boiler quality strip welded in between the tubes.
Therefore no refractory is required on the outer side of these panels. Only
2”mineral wool insulation will serve the purpose.
The gas velocity profiles employed in the boiler reduce the risk of erosion and also
prevent ash deposition.
At every reversal of flue gas, we have provided ash-collecting hoppers which
discharge ash continuously.
